Hello, and thank you for your interest in this project! I greatly appreciate you taking the review this posting, and I'm so excited to embark on this musical endeavor! A little bit about me: My name is Grayson Sebert and I am a NYC-based emerging actor, producer, writer, and composer. I studied Acting at the University of Utah's Actor Training Program from 2018-2020 and am currently studying Screenwriting at the Los Angeles Film School. I moved to NYC in Summer of 2026 to finally find my footing in the artistic industries and I'm excited to begin my dive in! I'll be attending Actor Therapy's Musical Theatre Session 83 in fall of 2026, as well as Stella Adler Studio to further my study of Acting in summer of 2027. My most notable work is my horror short film, "The Master" (2022), winning the Special Mention Award for Filmmaking/Screenwriting at the 2023 Global Shorts Film Festival in Los Angeles, CA, as well as Top 5% Recognition at Spring 2023's HorrorHound Film Festival in Cincinnati, OH. In the realm of theatre, my most recent work includes portraying Benvolio in Ohio State University's 2025 production of Romeo & Juliet. I also have original poetry published in Silent Spark Press' 2022 Poetry Issue and am looking to publish again soon!

"Belong" is a song that I've written for a new musical concept I'm working, and it follows my character-- antagonist, Vara-- desperately trying to entice the show's protagonist, Imogen, into joining her in a fantastical world of dark illusion and whim, in order to avoid dealing with childhood trauma. It's lush musical theatre, it's glamorous rock opera-- it's intense! Oh, and did I mention Vara is Imogen's alter ego? Yes-- the plot thickens! I will be singing as Vara, and this is where you lovely musicians come in! I'm working with a wonderful producer in Brooklyn who's graciously agreed to take on my project. I need the following musicians: Guitarist (electric, lead) Drummer (drum set and auxiliary) Violinist Pianist/Keyboard

Project Timeline: -Musicians interviewed and chosen by end of December 2026 (I will share a demo of the song with you during the interview process!) -Initial welcome meeting, discussion of project and distribution of score in mid January 2027 -One week of rehearsals at Open Jar Studios in Manhattan beginning of February 2027 (hold for further rehearsals if necessary) -Recording held at studio in Brooklyn for one day in beginning/mid March 2027 ***Exact dates to be determined by ensemble at initial meeting

PAYMENT TRANSPARENCY: To be fully transparent, I am on a very modest budget but am dedicated to compensating chosen musicians for their skill and time. Each musician is to receive $150 total for rehearsal and recording day, to be paid out in $50 increments. I know it's a modest payment, but I would greatly appreciate your support of an emerging artist, and your talent will be ardently received! All musicians will receive equal recognition for their lending of talent, as I always am ardent about showcasing my collaborators! Interviews will be conducted sometime after Christmas and I will make a decision by the end of December.
