Position: Musician Paid The Palace Theatre Seeks Music Director for Sister Act Palace Theatre Manchester,[...] The Palace Theatre Seeks Music Director for Sister ActThe Palace Theatres in Manchester, NH is seeking an experienced Music Director for our professional production of Sister Act , with the possibility of continuing on for additional productions ( Fiddler on the Roof , A Christmas Carol ) through the holiday season.Responsibilities include:Serving as Music Director throughout the rehearsal and performance processTeaching and rehearsing all vocal music with the castLeading music rehearsals with the orchestraPlaying/conducting all performancesAttending all production meetings and note sessionsProgramming keyboard patches as needed (Main Stage)Condensing and adapting orchestrations to best fit the instrumentation, production needs, and available musicians while maintaining the integrity of the scoreCollaborating closely with the Director, Choreographer, Stage Management team, and orchestra throughout the production processThe ideal candidate is an organized, collaborative musician with strong rehearsal skills, experience working in professional musical theatre, and the ability to prepare customized keyboard programming and orchestral reductions when necessary.Contract dates for Sister Act are 8/27-10/4. Applicants MUST be available for all contract dates. Performances are 9/11-10/4, Friday-Sunday (one Thursday evening performance on 9/24).
