Musician (Pianist/Organist/Keyboard)

A musician at Trinity must have experiance in Gospel Choir music and song selections to include praise and worship.

Core Responsibilities

1. Spiritual & Pastoral Leadership

Cultivate a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ, actively modeling a lifestyle of worship and spiritual maturity.
Partner with the pastoral team to foster an atmosphere receptive to the Holy Spirit, ministering to the emotional and spiritual needs of the congregation.
Lead by example in both congregational singing and prayer, encouraging participation and a heart posture of praise.

2. Musical Execution & Leading

Provide excellent, well-prepared musical accompaniment on the primary instrument (e.g., keyboard, piano, organ) for weekly Sunday services and special gatherings.
Accompany vocalists, instrumentalists, and special musical presentations, flowing seamlessly in transitions during the service.
Demonstrate the ability to flow spontaneously, improvising or extending songs based on the spiritual direction of the service.

3. Team Collaboration & Mentorship

Lead and assist in conducting weekly rehearsals, setting an encouraging and spiritually focused tone before Sunday morning services.
Recruit, mentor, and spiritually disciple volunteer musicians and vocalists within the congregation.
Coordinate service flow and maintain chord charts or setlists using tools like Planning Center or similar ministry software.

Qualifications & Requirements

Faith & Calling: Strong, demonstrable Christian faith with a clear calling to worship ministry. Alignment with the church's core theology is a must.
Technical Skill: High level of proficiency in playing instruments and a solid understanding of music theory (e.g., playing by ear, reading lead sheets, and improvising).
Spiritual Discernment: High emotional and spiritual intelligence to read the "room," navigate unpredictable spiritual movements (such as altar calls or times of prayer), and respond accordingly.
Team Player: Humble, collaborative, and able to take direction well from senior church leadership while maintaining a positive, grace-filled attitude.
