The Orchestra Personnel Manager reports to the Director of Artistic Planning & Educational Programs and Artistic Operations Manager and will work closely with the Instruction & Performance Department, acting as the primary liaison between the Orchestra Musicians, Conductors, and Administrative Staff. Duties • Oversee all personnel related activities at rehearsals and performances for the Brevard Music Center Orchestra (Flagship Orchestra), Brevard Sinfonia (College Division Orchestra), Chamber Orchestra, and Opera Orchestra, including: creation and maintenance of weekly seating assignments, documenting attendance, serving as the time keeper, and addressing with discretion any personnel issues that may arise. • Liaise with the Orchestra Operations Manager regarding any musicians’ special needs or requests. • In conjunction with the Director of Artistic Planning & Educational Programs, manage the Assistant Orchestra Personnel Manager (High School Ensembles) and interact on a daily basis, providing training in all areas of responsibility pertaining to the orchestra. • Extensive knowledge of orchestral repertoire, instrumentation, and ability to read music.
