Order Processing for Musical Instrument Manufacturer

Harps and hammered dulcimers are fairly unique, and we take pride in helping both beginning and experienced musicians with the questions they didn’t know they needed to ask. This person will be primarily responsible for the tracking and management of customer orders, which includes: • Developing a detailed knowledge of our products • Taking both retail and wholesale orders over the phone, by email, and through our web store • Preparing shipping quotes as necessary • Order entry, invoicing, and customer database management • Prioritizing orders to be shipped and tracking the fulfillment of back- orders • Choreographing international shipments • Acting as liaison between customers and shipping/production staff • Helping customers with questions about order details and status as well as general product information As a small company, we all wear many hats, and we hope to find someone with a desire to contribute to the team by expanding their knowledge and taking on other functions as opportunities arise. **Required traits:** • Highly organized and detail- oriented • Desire and ability to provide helpful, courteous, and thorough customer service • Facility with and enjoyment of computers, numbers, and administrative systems **Helpful traits:** • Knowledge of and passion for music and musical instruments • Strong initiative and self-management skills • Inquisitive problem-solver • Prior experience in this type of role is helpful, but we expect to train you on our specific products and processes _My name is Ray Mooers and I’m the co-owner and founder of Dusty Strings Company, which started with a fascination for the hammered dulcimer in 1979.
