JOB SUMMARY: Lead the Congregational song at the 9am Traditional Worship service through organ and piano leadership, performance, and accompaniment • Under the leadership of the Director of Worship & Music, Mount Olivet’s organist provides keyboard accompaniment (organ & piano) for the weekly traditional service that encourages and enhances congregational singing (liturgy, hymns, and musical offerings) • Serve as the Chancel Choir accompanist during worship, as well as the accompanist for Children’s Choir, soloists, and other ensembles • Provide appropriate music for worship, utilizing organ and piano, corresponding to the theme of the day (lectionary or otherwise) (i.e. prelude / postlude / offertory / communion) • Collaborate with volunteer and paid musicians from inside and outside the congregation to bring engaging special music into the worship life of the congregation • Accompany and occasionally lead sectionals for weekly Chancel Choir rehearsals (Wednesdays at 7pm) Street Address: 12235 Old Rockford Road Zip Code/Postal Code: 55441 Phone: 763-559-2775
