Organist​/Director of Music

Position: Organist and/or Director of Music The Fourth Presbyterian Church of Greenville, SC is seeking individuals to fill its Organist position and its Director of Music position.The Organist is the primary accompanist for all of the Church’s religious services, including regular Sunday services; special services such as Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday; and weddings and funerals. The Church’s organ is a two-manual Schantz, built in 1975, that features 25 ranks. It is located in the choir loft in the rear balcony of the sanctuary. The pipes are exposed. The choir room piano is a Steinway B.Working closely with the Church’s ministerial staff, the Director of Music plans the Church’s music program; manages the administrative tasks associated with the music program such as reporting anthem usage, maintaining the music library, arranging for contract musicians; and directs the choir.The Church is open to filling both of these positions with a single individual or two different people. All of the positions are part-time.
