Part-time Beginning Band Teacher

Part-time Beginning Band Teaching Position Young Musicians Unite (YMU) is on a mission to provide free, high-quality music education to every student in Miami-Dade, regardless of socio-economic background. We collaborate with schools to inspire personal development, foster community, and prepare future leaders through in-school and after-school music programs. Key Responsibilities • Teach basic technique, posture, and tone production on band instruments • Deliver lessons aligned with YMU’s Beginning Band curriculum • Introduce students to note reading, rhythm, and ensemble etiquette • Prepare students for entry into intermediate and advanced band settings • Manage and track student progress and participation • Coordinate with school staff and YMU team for support and scheduling • Assist with student performances and beginner showcases Work Schedule & Pay: • Classes typically run in 90-minute blocks during the school day or after school.
