Responsibilities • The teacher should represent Blue Bear School of Music with a competent, structured and professional class that's also fun for kids. We have some equipment to use stored on site, including a small tote of percussion items, a small speaker, a small keyboard/synth, a TR8 drum machine, and a small guitar amp (the teacher can bring an electric guitar or if one is needed, we can provide it to be stored there) It takes place at an elementary school in the Portola district of San Francisco that serves kids from K to 2nd grade (there are 5 kids enrolled). Some instruments are provided on site such as sticks, shakers, hand drums, a small keyboard/synth, a Roland drum machine (which is great for teaching the beat grid or other music theory elements), and there's a speaker where you can play music through a laptop/phone/iPad for certain activities (previous instructors have played recorded music through it for various music games, dance breaks, sing-a-longs, etc). Pay: From $65.00 per hour Application Question(s): • Can you reliably travel to sites and arrive on time, and can you commit to being there for all class meetings in the schedule?
