We believe it is critical that as passionate artists, students explore arts as relevant beyond entertainment, and experience performing arts as a means to ignite change and serve communities on a local, national, and global scale.Responsibilities:Instructs instrumental music co-curricular (after school) program including Chamber Ensemble/Piano Collaborative, Jazz/Rock Combo at High School level. Provides Vocal or Instrumental music direction for the Spring MusicalConducts rehearsals and performancesPresents performances of high musical quality for the school and communityRecruits for and maintains a co-curricular program that attracts and retains students to meet performance needsCollaborates with Performing Arts colleagues and Campus Ministry to support music programs as neededQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education or Music PerformanceFamiliarity with quality diverse instrumental repertoire, pedagogical instrumental technique, and classroom/rehearsal techniquesPreferred Qualifications:Previous teaching experience at the middle or high school levelExperience with jazz combos, rock bands, chamber musicMaster’s degree in Music, Music Education, or CA Single-Subject Credential for MusicTerms of Employment:2025-26Fall/Spring SemesterStipend PositionPart-Time position #J-18808-Ljbffr
