Part-Time Opportunity for Classical Musicians in the Greater Seattle Area

Hello Musicians, we are currently seeking classical musicians to lead weekday group music classes in the Greater Seattle Area.

About Us

New Bach Music School is a woman-founded, community-based organization that connects highly trained musicians with local schools. We are a musicians-supporting-musicians organization, and our artists are generously compensated for their work. Many of our teaching artists are fellow UW alumni and active members of the local music community.

We are currently seeking classical musicians to lead weekday group music classes in the Greater Seattle Area.

This can be a great fit if you are looking for flexible teaching opportunities while maintaining a private studio, performance schedule, graduate studies, or other professional commitments. Classes typically finish between 4:00 and 5:00 PM.

School Locations

Seattle, Bellevue, Kirkland, Mercer Island, Redmond, Issaquah, Bothell, Shoreline, Lynnwood, and surrounding areas.

Class Details

60-minute group classes
Weekday afternoons, 2–6 classes per week depending on availability
Small class sizes (4–8 students)
Ages 5–12
Introductory music classes for beginner-level students
Musicians may choose their preferred teaching days and school locations

Compensation

$90 per group class
Payment issued on the day of teaching

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Music required; advanced degrees are a plus
Strong attention to detail
Prompt, professional, and reliable communication
Reliable transportation
Experience working with beginner students is preferred but not required
Musicians from all instrumental backgrounds are welcome
