Part-Time Voice Instructor (Plus Guitar or Piano)

FAME Performing Arts – Mount Pleasant, SC
Pay: $18–$25/hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3:00–6:00 PM (12 guaranteed hours/week). Some occasional Fridays. Must be flexible with scheduling, including the ability to arrive earlier and/or stay later as needed for lessons, events, and performances.

About the Role

We’re looking for an engaging and reliable Voice Instructor who can also teach guitar and/or piano. You’ll work with students ages K–12, helping them build confidence and skills in contemporary styles like pop, rock, and musical theatre.

This is a great fit for someone who loves teaching, performing, and being part of a collaborative arts community.

What You’ll Do (but not limited to)
• Teach private and/or small group lessons in voice (required) + guitar or piano
• Create fun, customized lesson plans for each student
• Track progress and celebrate student growth
• Communicate with parents/guardians
• When not teaching lessons, supporting studio activities such as content collecting for social media, help prep for events/performances, subbing, etc.

· Responsibilities may include supporting other program needs at the direction and assistance of the Director of Programs, including after-school pick-up (driving a 15-passenger van) and substitute coverage as needed.

What We’re Looking For
• Experience teaching and/or performing (voice required)
• Ability to teach guitar or piano (both is a plus!)
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Dependable, positive, and team-oriented
• Passion for working with kids and teens – occasionally adults too!

Bonus (not required):
• Degree in Music or related field
• Musical theatre experience
