Part-Time Voice Teacher

Good Grooves Music Lessons & Therapy is seeking a part-time Voice Instructor to teach private lessons to children, teens, and adults in students' homes and at our studio (located on the border of Durham and Chapel Hill). Responsibilities • Teach weekly private voice lessons (ages 6 through adult) • Adapt instruction for both young beginners and adult learners • Travel to students' homes in the Chapel Hill/Durham area and/or teach at our studio • Provide developmentally appropriate vocal technique instruction • Support students in building performance confidence • Prepare students for recitals and optional performances • Maintain timely lesson notes and attendance records • Communicate professionally and clearly with parents (for minors) • Commit to teaching through the school year and summer (when applicable) Ideal Candidate • Strong background in vocal performance, choral music, musical theatre, or vocal pedagogy • Experience working with both children and adult learners (preferred) • Knowledge of healthy vocal technique across age groups • Organized, dependable, and responsive • Encouraging and adaptable teaching style • Located in or near Chapel Hill/Durham • At least 18 years old Compensation & Benefits • $24–$28/hour depending on experience • Lessons are compensated at time-and-a-half to account for planning and administrative time • Mileage reimbursement up to $50/month • Up to $200 per year in Continuing Education reimbursement • Flexible schedule • Supportive, collaborative teaching environment • Established student base with opportunity to grow • Why you are interested in teaching at Good Grooves Music?
