Posted: 02/04/2026 St. Clement Church in St. Bernard is looking for a part-time pastoral musician to plan the music. Responsibilities include: playing piano/organ for a Saturday evening Mass with cantor and a 9: 30AM Mass on Sunday with choir; attend choir rehearsals (have been on Tuesday evenings); some availability required for funerals and an occasional wedding; available for Holy Week and Lenten Reconciliation Services; attend Worship Commission meetings; monitor the instruments regarding tuning, etc. and gain familiarity with the sound board; requires some flexibility for occasionally working with the musician for the Spanish Mass (e.g. Holy Thursday and Easter Vigil); Occasionally the children's choir might sing a Sunday Mass; and, able to work with the celebrants for occasional requests for a song change. Compensation based on each engagement as Archdiocesan guidelines suggest.
