30 hours/week, year-round Reports to: Executive Director Compensation: Commensurate with experience and qualifications About Friends of Chamber Music The mission of Friends of Chamber Music is to present a broad range of the highest quality chamber music ensembles and artists, and provide educational outreach to further chamber music in our community. FOCM brings some of the finest chamber ensembles in the world to Portland for 20-30 concerts and outreach activities from October through May. Currently, the organization is managed by a staff of two full-time employees (Executive Director and Director of Marketing and Community Engagement), and a board of 15 people. Responsibilities The Patron Services Manager is responsible for a variety of activities, including, but not limited, to the following: • Accurately build all events in Patron Manager, manage annual subscription renewal process, process and fulfill all ticket orders and exchanges (including phone, mail and online orders) • Oversee daily deposits and maintain strict oversight of cash handling • Produce accurate and timely reports as requested • Manage Will Call and ticket sales at the door on concert days • Work with Director of Marketing and Community Engagement to develop and strengthen relationships with diverse communities • Act as primary receptionist and first point of contact for FOCM office, responding to phone calls, voicemails, and emails • Build and maintain positive relationships with FOCM patrons, working swiftly and positively to resolve any patron service issues and concerns Qualifications Required: • A positive attitude and genuine interest and enthusiasm for the mission of FOCM • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and a proven track record of providing high level customer service • Excellent organizational skills, time management habits, and attention to detail • Enthusiasm for working with diverse communities • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly • Self-motivated team player who also has the ability to work independently • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Windows, Word, Excel) • Background in or working knowledge of classical music and/or performing arts • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required • Demonstrated experience in financial recordkeeping and reports Preferred: • Previous experience working at an arts organization • Previous experience working in a box office or ticketing department • Previous experience with ticketing software, preferably Patron Manager, or previous experience with Salesforce • Demonstrated connections to or relationships with diverse communities • Previous experience with Quickbooks Salary Starting annual salary $30,000-32,000. This is a part-time position, approximately 30/hrs a week, with a benefit package that includes health insurance, paid time off, and a SEP retirement plan.
