Overview Join our vibrant educational team as a Percussion Instructor, where your passion for rhythm, music, and working with youth will inspire learners of all ages! This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while honing your teaching talents in a supportive setting while implementing our youth development philosophy and club culture. Develop comprehensive percussion curriculum tailored to various skill levels and age groups, including early childhood, preschool, school-age, and adult learnersDeliver engaging percussion lessons that incorporate rhythm exercises, musical theory, and performance techniquesBuild positive relationships with students while supporting their social, emotional, and creative developmentImplement THE Club Youth Development Strategy by creating an environment where students experience a sense of Competence, Leadership, Usefulness, and BelongingEncourage student leadership, teamwork, confidence-building, and positive self-expression through music and performance opportunitiesManage classroom environments effectively to promote positive behavior and active participationProvide personalized tutoring to students needing additional support or advanced instructionIntegrate interdisciplinary activities such as theater, dance, or photography to enrich the learning experiencePlan and organize performances or showcases to demonstrate student progress and boost confidenceMaintain detailed records of lesson plans, student progress, and attendance to ensure consistent developmentSkills Background in percussion instruments and music theory with experience in curriculum developmentPrevious experience working with children and youth in educational, recreational, or community settings preferredProven ability to teach diverse age groups, including children with special education needs or early childhood education backgroundsExcellent classroom management skills to foster a respectful and motivating environmentExperience in tutoring or working with students of varying skill levels and learning stylesAbility to plan engaging lessons that incorporate movement, performance arts, and cultural elementsFamiliarity with behavior management techniques and childhood development principlesStrong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills with a passion for mentoring young learnersCommitment to fostering a positive club culture centered around Competence, Leadership, Usefulness, and BelongingJoin us in shaping the next generation of musicians!
