The instructor will be collaborating with the Director of Media & Performing Arts to build the technical and creative skills needed for students to excel in their marching band program, be fully prepped for HBCU college marching band auditions, and help guide their own personal development and growth as a musician. The Percussion Instructor will lead intermediate to advanced-level classes in rudimentary and mallet percussion classes, cultivating an environment that fosters encouragement, creativity, support, and a deep admiration for music. Student Assessment: Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to students and parents to facilitate growth and development. Performance Coordination: Prepare students for performances, technical evaluations, and showcases, including prep for etudes, solos, costume coordination, and rehearsals. Strong understanding of music theory.
