The position requires some variable hours and on call response after regular business hours to meet the needs of the Church including some weekend, holiday and evening work for weekend Masses and other events such as Christmas, Holy Week and Easter. The employee in this position is closely connected to and assists the Pastor in the performance of his ministry and thereby engages in ministry for the Church. • Recruit, screen, train, assist and supervise music ministry volunteers to serve as cantors, choristers and instrumentalists at liturgies and other events. • Research and select music consistent with the catechetical content of the applicable Liturgy of the Word or the theme or subject matter of any event. • Organize and maintain the sound equipment and musical instruments and arrange for routine repair, maintenance and replacement.
