Role Description The Piano Instructor will provide part-time, on-site piano instruction to students at Allegheny Music Academy in Coraopolis, PA. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering individual or small group lessons, teaching proper technique, music reading, and foundational music theory. The instructor will assess student progress, set learning goals, and prepare learners for recitals, exams, or auditions as appropriate. Additional duties include maintaining lesson records, communicating with families or caregivers about student development, and collaborating with academy staff to support studio policies and events. The role requires punctuality, professional conduct, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse ages and skill levels.

Qualifications

Strong piano performance abilities, including proficiency in Piano Playing and overall Piano skills.Background in Piano Education and Music Education, with experience teaching students of varying ages and levels.Solid understanding of Music Theory and its application to practical piano instruction.Ability to design clear lesson plans, set achievable goals, and tailor instruction to individual learning styles.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient, encouraging, and professional teaching approach.Prior private or group teaching experience in a studio, school, or community setting preferred.Formal training in music (degree, diploma, or equivalent experience) is beneficial.Availability to work consistent on-site hours in Coraopolis, PA, including afternoons, evenings, or weekends as needed.
