Role Description The Piano Teacher will provide individualized in-home or remote piano instruction, focusing on technique, musicianship, theory, and passion and enjoyment for students of varying ages and skill levels. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons, selecting appropriate repertoire, assessing student progress, and maintaining accurate lesson notes and schedules. The teacher will communicate regularly with students and caregivers about goals, practice expectations, and progress, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in teaching approaches and student support. Qualifications Strong piano performance skills, including proficiency in Piano Playing and Piano.Experience or training in Piano Education and Music Education, with the ability to adapt instructional methods to different learning styles.Solid understanding of Music Theory and its application to practical piano instruction.Ability to create structured, goal-oriented lesson plans and support students with diverse needs in a patient, encouraging manner.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to maintaining an inclusive, respectful learning environment.Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, Music Therapy, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in piano teaching.Prior experience teaching piano in private studio, school, or community settings is highly beneficial.Willingness to comply with any required background checks and studio policies related to working with minors or vulnerable populations.Reliable transportation for providing in-home lessons
