Piano​/Organ Player

Position Title Piano/Organ Player Location VA San Diego Healthcare System Chapel, 3350 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92161 Key Responsibilities • Provide piano and/or organ accompaniment for Catholic Mass services (approx. 52 hours/year) • Provide piano and/or organ accompaniment for Protestant Worship services (approx. 6 hours/year) • Coordinate musical selections with the Chaplain or designated worship leader • Arrive at scheduled services on time and fully prepared • Perform preludes, postludes, hymns, responses, and other liturgical musical pieces required for each service • Attend rehearsals or run-throughs as needed to ensure smooth service execution Minimum Qualifications • Demonstrated proficiency in piano and organ performance • Strong understanding of Catholic and/or Protestant liturgical music traditions • Prior experience providing worship music in a chapel, church, or similar setting Preferred Qualifications • Formal training in music performance or liturgical music • Experience working with Veterans or in military/VA chapel environments • Ability to read and interpret a wide variety of sacred music #J-18808-Ljbffr
