With approximately 100 students in the combined programs and a faculty that is continually active in the profession, the Department offers a robust slate of productions during the Utah State Theatre academic season. The professional arm of the Department is the Lyric Repertory Company, which provides USU students the opportunity to transition their craft from the academy to the profession, with productions during the summer as well as the academic year. Utah State University is an R1 university under the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education and is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST). The CCA is a collaborative community, representing the collective strengths and voices of the arts and it acts as a conduit for connecting people and programs.
