Duties

Develop customized lesson plans that align with each student’s skill level, goals, and interests in drums and pianoDeliver energetic, clear, and motivating private lessons to students ranging from early childhood to adult learnersManage classroom behavior and create a positive atmosphere conducive to learning and creativityIncorporate various teaching techniques including curriculum development, hands-on activities, and multimedia tools such as photography or theater elements to enhance engagementTrack student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adjusting lesson plans accordinglyFoster a safe, inclusive environment by applying effective behavior management strategies and understanding childhood development principlesCollaborate with parents or guardians for younger students to ensure consistent progress and address individual needsExperience

Proven experience in teaching drums and/or pianoDemonstrated classroom management skills across diverse age groups, including early childhood education, preschool experience, or special education settingsFamiliarity with working with children, teenagers, or adult learners in both private and group settingsExperience in tutoring or working one-on-one with students to address individual learning styles and challengesBackground in childhood development or behavior management strategies that support effective teaching environmentsThe Future of Music prides ourselves on our motto: "it is our job to teach, it is never the student's job to learn."

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
