Responsibilities
Design and implement customized lesson plans that cater to individual student goals, skill levels, and interests in their chosen instrument.Deliver engaging instruction in music theory, and instrumental performance.Manage lesson environments effectively by applying lesson management techniques and behavior management strategies to ensure a positive learning atmosphere.Work with students of diverse ages—including children, youth, and adults—fostering their development through tailored teaching methods that support childhood development and special education needs.Incorporate curriculum development best practices to enhance lesson quality and student engagementSupport students’ progress through ongoing assessment, constructive feedback, and adaptive lesson planning that promotes continuous improvement.Collaborate with parents or guardians when necessary to communicate student progress and encourage at-home practice or creative projects.Qualifications
Proven experience working with children and youth programs teaching experience in your instrument of choice.Strong background in teaching musical instrumentsDemonstrated ability to develop curricula that incorporate lesson planning across multiple disciplines including culinary arts or sewing as part of creative arts instruction.Excellent lesson management skills combined with behavior management techniques suited for early childhood education or preschool settings.Knowledge of childhood development principles and experience with special education or accommodating diverse learning needs is preferred.Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages while maintaining a positive and motivating attitude.Flexibility to adapt lessons for adult education or tutoring sessions as needed.Join us in creating an inspiring environment where creativity flourishes! Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
