Private Music Teacher

Foundations Music Academy is hiring private music teachers across our four Columbus-area locations in Powell, Lewis Center, Hilliard and Dublin. We serve over 1,100 weekly private lesson students, roughly 90 percent of them between the ages of 4 and 18.

What the role involves:

Teaching private one-on-one music lessons to students of all ages and levelsSetting your own availability, from one day a week to fiveTeaching in a dedicated, distraction-free studio at one or more of our locationsParticipating in two student recitals each year, which we plan and fundWhat we handle so you do not have to:

Full-time front desk administrators on site from 9:00am to 9:00pm who manage scheduling, billing, fee collection, accompanists and recital planningYear-round advertising and marketing to keep your schedule full, including through typically slower months like May and JuneAll collections. Teachers are paid for late cancels, trial lessons and no-shows, and are paid even when a student's debt is uncollectibleRequirements:

A minimum of a four-year degree in musicOne or more years of teaching experienceTeaching hours: Powell, Lewis Center and Dublin are Monday through Thursday 3:00pm to 9:00pm, Friday 3:00pm to 7:00pm, and Saturday 10:00am to 6:00pm. Hilliard is Monday through Thursday 3:00pm to 9:00pm and Friday 3:00pm to 7:00pm.

We accept resumes on all instruments. Relocating to Columbus is not a problem, and we are happy to hear from you even if you will not be in town for a couple of months.
