About the position Responsibilities • Provide one-on-one music lessons to students in their homes • Create individualized lesson plans based on student's goals, interests, and skill level • Instruct students on proper playing techniques, music theory, and performance skills • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages creativity and musical growth • Maintain regular communication with students and their families to track progress and address any concerns • Be active on social media and encourage students to participate in challenges, recitals and other development programs • Professional and timely communication with students, families, and staff Requirements • Bilingual in Spanish and English • Proficiency in one or more musical instruments • Reliable transportation to travel to students' homes for lessons • Strong passion for music and a desire to inspire others • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate students of varying ages and skill levels • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Teaching experience is a plus • Experience working with children is a plus • Experience teaching in students' homes is a plus • Bachelor's degree or higher in music preferred, but not required Nice-to-haves • Experience teaching in students' homes • Teaching experience • Experience working with children Benefits • Flexible schedule • Paid time off • Employee discount • Gym membership discount • Professional development assistance • Referral program
