Progressive nature based preschool looking for Full Time Teacher

Full-Time Preschool Teacher's Assistant: We are a small Progressive Nature Connection based Preschool in the Topanga Canyon area . We are looking for a Teacher's Assistant to assist us Monday-Friday, 25-30 hours per week, beginning in September. We are seeking a teacher who can assist in a multi-age setting, our afternoon program has children ranging from ages 2 - 5 years, who has experience working with children and mentoring them through a nature connection based style of learning. We would like for you to have your own set of passions and skills that you would be able to share in light ways with the children, for example, if you are an artist or musician, we would love to have you teach art or play music to the children. The Teacher's Assistant applying to this position MUST: 1) Be a loving, nurturing, eco-conscious, and experienced preschool teacher or childcare worker 2) Preferably, have experience in a mixed aged classroom and with being around multi-age children 3) Have excellent grammar in English, be a great communicator & team player 4) Preferred: Possess an AA degree in ECE, or ECE certification of teacher, or any childcare certificate 5) Be able to create a child-centered learning environment using creative & hands-on methods of instruction, come up with projects on the spot, tend to the children's needs both emotional and physical 6) Be able to preform light cleaning, lifting of 50 lbs or under 6) Be CPR certified (can acquire thorough employment) 7) Able to pass LiveScan, CPR course, CA Mandated Reporter and provide full immunization record.
