Alternate Protestant and Catholic Musician In support of the Seabee Memorial Chapel, Naval Construction Battalion Center (NCBC), Gulfport, MS, the Director of Music requires an alternate musician to provide services during the absence of the primary musician. Provide rehearsals at 30 minutes prior to the start of Protestant and Catholic worship services. Assist the Religious Ministry Team with planning for the musical support of worship services, including written requests for securing musical equipment, musical scores, supplies, and other required material to the chapel office. Skilled musician – possess the ability to lead religious worship services and maintain skills required of the applied position to include vocal and instrumental skills, performer management, and sound board operations. Musicians with no previous Department of the Navy (DON) experience must demonstrate such understanding to the Command Chaplain within three months of the start date of the contract via oral or written statement.
