Protestant Musician

The Protestant Service Musician (PSM) will provide musical selections on the piano/keyboard for the Linden Oaks Faith Community 10AM Services with rehearsal at 9am. Musician shall be knowledgeable of and be able to apply liturgical and contemporary music norms of the Protestant tradition in preparation for worship and/or Special Services for the specific Chapel tradition in which they will perform, in addition to being knowledgeable of and conversant with developments in Protestant music both liturgical and contemporary for the specific Chapel tradition of the congregation served. Regular Worship and Regular Worship Rehearsals: • Accompany (play piano/organ/guitar/keyboard)) or direct musical selections during designated regular worship services including accompany singing of hymns, choruses, and spiritual songs; choral response, anthems, and special music that enhances the atmosphere of worship for the gospel congregation. • Coordinate and/or provide music for all services and adjust tempo and style of choir selections to enhance the congregation’s ability to participate in worship as directed by the Chaplain/Pastor. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
