A creative, curious, and organized team, public programs staff share a passion for country music, popular culture, and lifelong learning and regularly collaborate to develop and implement dynamic educational offerings commensurate with one of the most-visited history museums in America. Position Overview: The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum seeks an individual with significant knowledge of and interest in country music, popular culture, and history to envision and implement engaging programs for museum visitors. Specific Job Duties: • Responsibility for programming a weekly series (Songwriter Session or Musician Spotlight) • Contribute to public programs’ content creation and brainstorming • Build, maintain, and grow relationships with musicians and industry professionals, as well as personal knowledge of country music history and trends • Collaborate via email, internal communication systems, and in-person meetings with the marketing, communications, creative, reservations, events, production, ticketing, and guest relations departments to promote and prepare for public programs • Write and edit program marketing copy, program introductions, reports, and proposals • Review, select, and facilitate edits for film screenings, film loops, and multi-media programs • Research and recommend archival program video content for various uses including online programming and social media • Prepare all audio/visual assets and production scripts for multi-media programs • Communicate and facilitate all arrival information and production requirements in advance of an artist appearance • Host participating artists and other guests attending public programs • Execute stage management and production duties when needed • Coordinate with the reservations department to accommodate participants’ guest seating • Direct volunteers assigned to assist with the day-of execution of public programs • Communicate and engage with the public regarding program content and schedules (including on-stage or on-camera program introductions) • Accurately complete administrative tasks, including data reporting and analysis • Provide ongoing oversight of contracting and payment for artists, crew, supplies, services, etc. The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is an equal opportunity employer.
