In this job, you'll be working directly with customers - in-person, via phone, and through e-mail - to meet their musical needs by:
Selling - instruments, accessories, print music, etc.Renting - band, orchestra & other instruments, accessible to everyone!Enrolling - new students for lessons at the Menchey School of Music!Lesson Studio Coordinator duties include:
Cultivating a community of musicians through in-store activitiesOrganizing performance opportunities for studentsDeveloping positive relationships with teachers, parents, and studentsCommunicating with staff, teachers, and management regarding promotions and eventsAssigning billing plans, ensuring payments, assisting with scheduling and maintaining student/teacher accountsOther duties include:
Troubleshooting customer issues and finding solutionsMaintaining a clean and organized storeOpening and closing the store according to policiesCash handling - daily balancing of cash drawerTraining on instruments, new products, and sales techniquesThis position is not a summer position.
Requirements
Education and Experience
Required Experience:
HS Diploma or GEDGeneral knowledge of musical instruments and written music with the ability to play at least one musical instrument6+ months retail, customer service or sales experienceNecessary Competencies
Interaction with Others - Oral and Written CommunicationMusic/Instrument Knowledge – Basic understanding of types of musical instrumentsTechnical Literacy – Proficient Computer Skill (MS Office especially Excel)Individual Contributor Competencies - Work Management and DependabilityInterpersonal Relations - Social AbilitiesJob Knowledge - Accurate and Complete WorkCOMPENSATION
Total compensation will include base compensation plus commissions, paid out monthly and if eligible, a bonus paid out yearly.
