As a respected leader, you will be responsible for guiding a group of passionate singers who come together to perform for their neighbors. The Lead Musician plays a vital role in the group's success, overseeing weekly rehearsals and selecting suitable music for performances. \ \ • Musical Direction: Lead rehearsals, bringing out the best in each singer.\ • Repertoire Curation: Select and provide a variety of music for the group, with input from our singers.\ • Performance Leadership: Conduct special concerts, including a cherished Holiday Concert.\ \ • You will receive support from our events team, handling scheduling reminders and music folders so you can focus on the music.\ • The ideal candidate will have:\ \ • Choir Experience: Proven experience leading a choir, preferably working with seniors.\ • Musical Intuition: The ability to select engaging yet accessible music.\ • Patience & Personality: A calm demeanor, with a genuine desire to help people feel part of something bigger.\ • Availability: Ability to hold weekly afternoon practices, ideally Wednesday 2-3 p.m.\ \
