SoundHouse at Ricks Musical Instruments is a locally owned, independent music retailer with two locations and a growing school music program. We're hiring an experienced School Music Store Representative to grow our band director relationships across Rhode Island and Southwestern Massachusetts.

If you've been building school relationships for someone else and wondering what it would look like to do it for a company that actually backs you up, this is that job.

Responsibilities:

Visiting band directors at elementary, middle, and high schools across RI and SE Massachusetts
Growing our instrument rental program (flat $30/month, full equity, no gimmicks)
Representing SoundHouse at school events, instrument fittings, and band nights
Building lasting relationships — not just transactions

Qualifications:

Experience in school music sales, instrument rentals, or music retail — road rep experience strongly preferred
A self-starter who doesn't need to be managed on the road
Someone who wants to grow with a company, not just clock in
