School Camp Instructor
Our part time Camp Instructor e mbodies rock and roll in a positive way and is responsible for creating the most valuable student experience possible. This role creates a safe and inspiring environment for students to achieve their musical and creative potential and ensures that each School of Rock student has an exceptional musical journey.
Camp Instructors are responsible for making sure camp rehearsals run smoothly and each student is progressing throughout the week. They should follow the Music Directors lead and help deliver a fun, educational experience for all the campers. Here are a few key responsibilities of a Camp Instructor:
Report daily progress to the Music Director and inform them of any issues with any students, songs or casting decisions.
Help run the camp theme of the week by managing the students both on and off the stage.
Camp Instructors should immediately report any major issues to school management.
Help get new students excited about joining a seasonal program at School of Rock.
1 + years experience teaching and/or working in a camp setting.
Knowledge of music theory and the ability to follow a curriculum.
Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers and other people
Very strong customer relations skills
College level music training/education helpful
Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor
Availability to work summer camps for the full week (Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm/4pm). Camps are held the week of June 15th through the week of August 24th (can be flexible to miss 1 or 2 weeks)
