The Oklahoma City Philharmonic is seeking candidates for a Section Bass position for the 2026–27 season. This is a tenure track position with a two-year probation period, offering a minimum annual compensation of $20,020 based on a 110-service guarantee. The position is per-service and does not include full-time employee benefits. Compensation is determined by the agreement with the American Federation of Musicians Local 375/703, and musicians are eligible for pension contributions as outlined in the agreement. Auditions will take place on September 2, 2026, at 6:30 PM at the OKC Civic Center Music Hall. All rounds of the audition will be conducted behind a screen. Candidates must submit a cover letter and a one-page resume by August 12, 2026, preferably via email. This audition is restricted to residents of Oklahoma, and substitute or extra work may be available for runners-up. The winning candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
