Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, supporting month-end close, financial reporting, and audit preparation. Reporting to the VP of Finance & Administration, the Senior Accountant ensures timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP. The role offers the chance to support the mission and growth of a leading cultural institution in Tampa Bay. The Florida Orchestra has an annual operating budget of $16 million. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred) • 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a mid-sized or large organization • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles • Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Abilia MIP) • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
