Senior Musical Instrument Sales Specialist

At Music & Arts, we are on a mission to enhance music education through outstanding retail experiences. We are looking for a part-time Senior Musical Instrument Sales Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will assist students, parents, and educators in selecting instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons while fostering a warm, student-focused atmosphere. You will also be instrumental in boosting sales, encouraging lesson enrollment, and maintaining an organized and inviting store environment. Collaborating with store and school service teams, you will help support community music initiatives and develop your skills in a performance-oriented, inclusive workplace.

Key Responsibilities

Offer expert sales support to students, parents, and educators for instruments, rentals, and accessories.Achieve and surpass individual and store sales goals along with key performance metrics.Provide exceptional customer service while possessing strong knowledge of band and orchestra instruments.Facilitate lesson enrollment by advocating for music education programs and assisting with student scheduling.Assist with merchandising, stocking, pricing, and keeping the sales floor organized and inviting.Accurately process transactions, rentals, and returns utilizing point-of-sale systems.Work in collaboration with store and school service teams to promote local music programs and events.Handle basic intake for instrument repairs and coordinate with repair technicians.Train and mentor junior sales associates on effective sales techniques and product knowledge.Adhere to company policies, loss prevention standards, and ensure a safe, inclusive store environment.Required Skills

Previous retail sales experience.Strong customer service skills.Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems.Comprehensive knowledge of musical instruments.Experience in merchandising.Inventory management skills.Cash handling and reconciliation abilities.Experience with lesson enrollment and scheduling.Skills in upselling and cross-selling.Basic knowledge of repair intake and triage.
