Senior Sales Associate

Music & Arts is seeking a Senior Sales Associate for our retail store, specializing in band and orchestra instruments, accessories, and lessons. In this role, you will lead by example on the sales floor, deliver exceptional customer service to students, parents, and educators, and help customers select rentals, purchases, and lesson packages. You’ll process transactions, manage special orders, support store merchandising, and assist with school service events. This position is ideal for a sales professional with music retail or related experience who is passionate about music education and community engagement. Provide knowledgeable in-store sales support for instruments, accessories, and lessons Lead by example on the sales floor and support achievement of store sales goals Assist students, parents, and educators with rentals, purchases, and lesson enrollment Process sales, rentals, returns, and special orders accurately in POS systems Maintain merchandising standards, pricing, and inventory organization Support in-store and school-based events that promote music education Collaborate with store and school service teams to drive community engagement Handle basic customer issues and escalate complex concerns to management Retail sales Point-of-sale (POS) systems Customer service Product knowledge – musical instruments Cash handling and reconciliation Merchandising and display Inventory management basics Sales reporting and tracking Rental contract processing Event support and outreach Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Background in music performance, education, or retail strongly preferred Familiarity with band and orchestra instruments and accessories Prior POS and retail sales systems experience
