Please follow application instructions listed at the end of this job description Summary of Position In alignment with the Atlanta Music Project (AMP) mission, the AMP Site Assistant will assist AMP program leaders and faculty with administrative and musical tasks for the 2025 – 2026 AMP Programs. AMP’s young musicians have successfully auditioned for Georgia All-State ensembles, and performed with the Atlanta Opera, the Atlanta Ballet, and the Fox Theatre. & Phyllis Katz Foundation, the Harland Charitable Foundation, the Arthur M. Blank Foundation, The Rich’s Foundation, the Sartain Lanier Foundation, the Luluma Foundation, Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs, Fulton County Arts Council, Georgia Council for the Arts, Georgia Department of Education, Bloomberg Philanthropies, Delta Community Credit Union, the Next Generation Fund, and the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta. Learn, understand and represent the AMP philosophies for uplifting youths, families and communities through the pursuit of musical excellence Complete administrative tasks such as attendance, photocopies, class/rehearsal set up and take down, preparing flyers/announcements, communication with parents/guardians Perform stagehand duties at AMP concerts Other administrative tasks as needed Assist program leaders and faculty as needed Occasionally teach and/or mentor AMP students Form effective work relationship with other AMP Site Assistants Attend peer exchange/training workshops as required Ideal candidate will possess: Hold a bachelor’s degree in music education, music performance, education, social work or related field; OR be a current undergraduate or graduate student studying music Possess some proficiency on one of the following instruments: violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, tuba, percussion, voice Be extremely reliable Be always punctual Possess a passion for music as a tool for positive social change Possess the ability to inspire, work with, and mentor youths ages 6 and up Possess excellent proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Possess excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable working in a team Possess ability to adapt, be flexible and have a sense of humor Notes: The Site Assistant is a part‑time, hourly ($16.54/hour) position starting In September 2026 and ending in May, 2027. Classes take place Monday – Thursday from 4:00PM – 8:30PM and Saturday from 9:00AM – 1:30PM.
