Position Overview

JUS Official Services is seeking talented, creative, and collaborative individuals to join the company as Songwriters. This role focuses on songwriting contributions for artists, collaborative music projects, co-writing opportunities, creative development sessions, lyric writing, melody development, concept creation, and other music-related collaborative efforts.

Songwriters may work alongside artists, producers, musicians, labels, management teams, or other creatives to help develop commercially viable, emotionally impactful, or artistically aligned music projects. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about music creation, storytelling, artist collaboration, and creative expression across multiple genres and styles.

Responsibilities

- Write lyrics, melodies, hooks, concepts, or full songs for collaborative music projects.

- Participate in songwriting sessions, artist development discussions, and creative collaboration opportunities.

- Assist artists with developing song concepts, themes, emotional direction, and musical identity.

- Collaborate with producers, artists, musicians, engineers, and creative teams when applicable.

- Adapt writing style to fit different genres, artist brands, vocal styles, and project needs.

- Contribute to demos, writing camps, collaboration sessions, or music development initiatives.

- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and respect for creative ownership throughout collaborative projects.

- Help identify strong creative opportunities and musical direction for artists when appropriate.

- Stay informed on industry trends, songwriting structures, and evolving music styles.

Qualifications

- Ability to write across multiple genres or adapt to different artistic styles is preferred.

- Strong communication and creative collaboration skills.

- Professionalism and reliability during collaborative projects and deadlines.

- Previous songwriting, music release, demo, or collaborative experience is beneficial but not required.

Compensation Structure

This is a commission-based independent contractor position. Compensation may include songwriting splits, publishing participation, royalty agreements, collaboration fees, negotiated project percentages, licensing opportunities, or other approved compensation structures depending on the project and agreement terms.
