Primary Duties: • Lead the soprano section in the singing of Gregorian Mass ordinary and propers, congregational hymns (including occasional descants), and choral works (primarily motets from the Renaissance through Classical eras). • Occasionally sing with other section leaders in small ensembles... • Lead sectional rehearsals as needed. Time Commitments: • Sundays from 8:00 to 10:15 AM (Pre-Mass rehearsals plus 9:00 Mass) • Wednesday evenings (August through May) from 6:00 to 7:15 PM • Extended availability during Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter seasons for additional Masses as schedule requires. • Occasional availability for special Masses throughout the year (advance notice will be provided) Compensation: • Section leaders are paid on a "per event" basis with rates ranging from $60 to $160 per event depending on time commitments.
