We believe our student body, faculty, staff, and the stories we tell must reflect the vast population of our community and our world. We encourage our students to be artists, as well as fully engaged citizens, who understand the responsibility and eagerly accept the opportunity to make an impact in their field, our community, and the global community. The Sound Designer/Collaborative Musician position is a collaborative, dynamic, and student-centered position that professionally serves the East Carolina University School of Theatre and Dance. This position is imperative to support our rigorous academic training for our Dance and Theatre students and presenting professional-level productions to the ECU community and greater Eastern North Carolina region through our ECU/Loessin Playhouse Series. The position provides critical EHRA non-teaching services to three vital, mission-related specific units of the School of Theatre and Dance - BFA Dance Performance degree, BFA Musical Theatre degree, and to the co-curricular production mission for the SOTD's ECU/Loessin Playhouse and Dance Theatre; as well as, teaching essential Sound design content to our Design and Production Majors and Minors.
