Sr. Musician

**Overview:** The Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts (VCUarts) Department of Music is seeking a skilled and experienced Musician to provide collaborative piano support for various music programs. The Sr. Musician will assist with voice masterclasses, accompany voice students, and participate in choir performances. **Responsibilities:** • Provide collaborative piano support during private studio lessons, studio classes, choirs, and various recital performances • Participate in performance auditions for prospective music majors and assist with recruitment efforts as needed • Willingness to participate in end-of-semester juries as needed • *Qualifications:** • Bachelor's Degree in Music or equivalent experience • One (1) year of experience playing for music courses at the collegiate, professional, or pre-professional level; or equivalent in related training, education, and/or experience • Demonstrated strong oral presentation and communication skills • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences • *Benefits:** • Competitive hourly rate of $50 • Opportunity to work with a diverse population of students and faculty • Collaborative and welcoming work environment • 70% FTE, non-exempt position
