Strings Teacher (Violin, Viola, & Cello)

Northwest School of Music is currently seeking a Strings Teacher to work as a part time employee providing music and performance lessons to students of all ages and abilities.

Position Responsibilities:

Teach private and group lessons using Northwest School of Music's approved curriculumCreate an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson atmosphereAssess student's readiness for additional classes or instrumentsBasic equipment repair as neededRequirements:

Demonstrate an understanding of music concepts and be able to communicate those concepts effectively to studentsAdvanced understanding of technique and music theory relevant to primary instrumentTime management to keep students on task in lessonsComfortable in fast-paced environments with a variety of personalitiesExperienced performer (either solo or group)Experience working with youth and/or beginning musiciansAbility to interact effectively with both children and adultsAbility to pass a background checkNorthwest School of Music offers the opportunity to work a flexible part time schedule in a fun environment with other like minded musicians. We handle the other business aspects like marketing, scheduling, booking, and billing so that you can focus on teaching.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 25 per week
