Position: Student Musician for Orchestra & Worship Team FIRST BAPTIST DALLASMUSICIAN - STUDENT STRING INITIATIVEFirst Baptist Dallas is a thriving church community living for Jesus Christ. We have been serving and doing ministry for over 150 years. The high school or college-aged musician will provide musical support for the Choir and Orchestra within the Music & Worship Ministry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide instrumental ministry support related to the duties of the Instrumental Music Ministry Attend regular Wednesday night rehearsals (6:30 – 8:30 PM) Play in all Sunday rehearsals and worship services with the First Dallas Orchestra (8:15 AM – 12:15 PM) Participate in special services and musical events in which the First Dallas Orchestra is involved Follow standard, professional orchestra etiquette (i.e., arrive early and musically prepared, be attentive and engaged, respect all orchestra members, communicate absences and schedule conflicts, follow the dress code, etc. )Perform all other duties assigned by the Associate Minister of Instrumental Music and Concertmaster Spiritual Fully committed to the Mission and Core Values of First Baptist Dallas Fully committed to the Senior Pastor, Executive Pastor, and overall church ministry Fully committed to biblical Christian principles and teachings professionally and personally Fully committed to demonstrating characteristics that reflect a person of faith and a lifestyle of biblical integrity Professional & Education (Certifications or Licenses) Embody the Green Team Characteristics and work according to Operating Principles Must be a High School Student or College Student pursuing a degree in Music Must possess a high standard of ensemble participation Demonstrates a high level of musical proficiency in playing an instrument Demonstrates strong musical leadership qualities Audition may be required Physical Ability to sit and stand for 2-4 hours Ability to play a musical instrument for extended periods of time #J-18808-Ljbffr
