Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls San Diego is seeking instrument instructors for our June 20-25, 2022 music empowerment summer camp, GXRLS ROCK! This position is for musicians or music teachers/teaching artists 18+ who want to create an impact for one week during the summer through music education. In just a few days your campers will learn what they need to write a song with their band that will be performed for friends and family at the Saturday showcase event. Serve as a positive role model Be fully present as a music mentor and attend all dates on the job description Individuals looking for a fun and impactful week of work this summer Bass, drums, guitar, keys and/or vocals musicians or music teachers/teaching artists Create a safe space where mistakes are part of the learning process Able to follow simple curriculum yet also able to improvise Songwriting skills a plus but not mandatory Schedule: ● Onboarding Training 1hr via Zoom = End of May ● June 12, 10:00am - 12:00pm = All GRC Musician Mentor Training ● June 18, 2:00 - 4:00 = Load-in and set up ● June 19, 10:00 - 12:30 = Team Orientation and set up ● June 20, 8:30 - 4:00 = Gxrls Rock!
