Summer Music Camp staff (short term)

Help make Funkytown's Summer Music Camp rock!

Share your love of music with up and coming young musicians. Funkytown Music Academy, near TCU, is searching for fun, people-loving, talented musicians to help run our Summer Music Camp the week of June 22-26. Multi-instrumentalists encouraged, and will get prioritized consideration!

Set up on Sunday afternoon June 21. Our week of Summer Music Camp is from Monday - Friday. Students are present from 9am - 4pm. Call time for staff is 8.30am - 4.30pm with clean up/tear down time for an hour after our closing performance on Friday afternoon.

Students range in music experience from new beginners to multiple years of lessons with some performance experience under their belts, entering grades 1-8.

Requirements:

-18 years or older with reliable transportation

-High degree of professionalism, reliability, ability to work with children and teens as well as interact well with parents of children

-Pass background check, complete training, work within policies and boundaries of Funkytown Music Academy and University United Methodist Church to ensure wellbeing and safety of all students, especially children

-Music teaching experience preferred

-Music proficiency desired across music styles

-Create engaging lesson plans, document and track growth of students through clear written/typed communication with students and parents

Preference is given to candidates who are:

-Multi-instrumentalists

-College educated or pursuing college degree

Pay:

$10 - $14 per hour
