Summer Music Festival Directors

**Description:**

* Intermediate Band Director
* Intermediate Orchestra Director
* Fiddlers Director
* Jazz Band Director
* Advanced Orchestra Director
* Advanced Band Director

**Qualifications:**

* Valid Michigan teaching certificate with the JX-Music endorsement required
* Experienced in teaching grades 5-8
* Working knowledge of band and orchestra literature
* Working knowledge of instrument pedagogy
* Ability to motivate students

**Ensemble Director Responsibilities**

* Choose and order music
* Order supplies for the group
* Submit invoices to program administrator
* Run 14 rehearsals
* Conduct concert

**Location:** Parcells Middle School
**Dates:** July 6 - 17, 2026
**Days:** Monday - Friday
**Time:** 9am - 12pm depending on ensemble
**Closing Celebration:** Friday, July 17th, 10am in Parcells Auditorium

**Compensation:**
In accordance with the Master Agreement, Appendix E,

**All Directors:** Club, Class I - $988.38
