Summer Music Teacher- Camp Sitar

Sitar Arts Center engages DC youth, from early childhood to young adulthood, in building a creative community of learning and belonging that removes financial and cultural barriers to arts education and career training. Sitar Arts Center is seeking an experienced Music Teacher to work with a range of young people to support Camp Sitar this June August 2026. Responsibilities Include • Design and facilitate a music curriculum that engages students in K-8th through the use of varied music, songs, instruments and/or active games • Work as a team with teachers and staff to coordinate and participate in all camp activities, field trips, and students showcases • Supervise camp students during program hours, in and outside of classes, at mealtimes, during outside play, activities, and transitions • Attend all meetings, including pre-camp planning and orientations, and scheduled camp dates • Track student progress and communicate student needs to staff When You'll Work Most importantly, you have a strong love for the arts and for children of all ages, and you believe that everyone should have access to the arts.
