We are seeking a motivated, network-driven, and detail-oriented Talent Buyer to join the team at Jimmy’s Music Club, a historic New Orleans venue (est. Your expertise in live music, artist relations, and deal negotiation will help drive attendance, strengthen our brand, and build sustainable weekly and monthly show calendars. Duties • Develop and execute booking strategies that align with Jimmy’s programming goals • Build and maintain strong relationships with agents, managers, promoters, and artists • Submit offers, negotiate guarantees, splits, and backend deal structures • Manage holds, confirmations, and advancing for all booked shows • Coordinate with production teams to fulfill artist riders, hospitality, and technical requirements • Work closely with marketing to plan on-sale timelines, promotional strategies, and ticket rollouts • Track, analyze, and respond to ticket sales performance • Identify rising artists suited for a 400–500 capacity room • Organize weekly programming for college nights, specialty events, DJs, and themed shows • Assist with settlement sheets, budgeting, and show profitability analysis • Maintain accurate booking records, contracts, and communication logs Requirements • Proven experience as a Talent Buyer, Promoter, Booking Assistant, or related role • Working knowledge of deal structures, artist guarantees, splits, and live event economics • Strong existing relationships with booking agencies (UTA, Wasserman, CAA, TKO, etc.) Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
